Sutton Lane – Paris is pleased to continue its international programme with the first exhibition in Paris of the German painter Christoph Ruckhäberle.

Ruckhäberle’s canvases illustrate a universe both familiar yet surreal. His large and almost theatrical compositions depict motionless, rigid and often naked figures posed within architectural spaces and seen from irregular and surprising perspectives.

Masks provide a signature characteristic of Ruckhäberle’s work and throughout a series of drawings, he proposes a vivid and fascinating study on this theme. His flamboyant vision of a bohemian universe is communicated through bright colours, geometric forms and bold handling of lines and contours.
