Hervé Ingrand

“Dans un monde réellement renversé, le vrai est un moment du faux” 1

Sutton Lane is pleased to announce the first solo exhibition in London of French artist Hervé Ingrand. “Design Project” is part of a cycle that Ingrand began in 1994 in which the artist’s studio becomes the subject of his painting and the narrative base of his work. The artist has developed an iconography that reprocesses each development in this narrative. His exhibitions and projects are testimonies of this self- perpetuating evolution, in which the last step is the ideal studio.

Hervé Ingrand was born in 1972 and lives and works in Paris. He graduated from the École Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris in 1997 Ingrand has recently had a solo exhibition at Raucci/Santamaria, Naples and was part of “Sutton Lane in Paris” at Galerie Ghislaine Hussenot. Other group exhibitions include Le Lieu Unique, Nantes France, the Fondation Cartier, Paris and the Istanbul Triennial of Contemporary Art.
